Data controller

What data we collect

Through the submission form we collect the data you provide voluntarily:

• contact data: full name, phone, email;
• property data: type, location, size, number of rooms and bathrooms, condition, any outstanding mortgage;
• any photos of the property and free-text notes you choose to send.

We also collect technical browsing data (e.g. language preference) via the browser's local storage, described in the Cookie Policy.

Purposes and legal bases

We process the data to:

• assess the property and get back to you regarding the submission — legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR);
• respond to your requests for information and manage any sales mandate;
• photos and free-text notes are optional and processed on the basis of the consent you give by sending them (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).

Recipients of the data

Data is stored and managed through Google Workspace services (Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, Gmail), acting as data processor. It may be shared with consultants and professionals who assist us, always in compliance with the law. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (Google LLC) may process data outside the European Union. Such transfers take place on the basis of adequate safeguards, such as the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

We keep the data for as long as necessary to handle your submission and any contractual relationship, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless legal obligations or the need to defend a right in court apply.

Your rights

At any time you can exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR:

• access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing;
• data portability and objection to processing;
• withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise them, write to info@abitare.im. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

Nature of provision

Providing contact data is optional but necessary for us to get back to you: without it we cannot follow up on the submission.

Automated decision-making

We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.

Contact via WhatsApp

If you contact us via WhatsApp (site button or channel), the conversation takes place on the app of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., subject to its terms and privacy policy. Please do not share special category data (e.g. health) through this channel.

Minors

This site and our services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, write to info@abitare.im and we will delete it.
